Lost desktop icons, user documents and profile data

Users save shortcusts and sometimes drafts of documents on desktop. It is ordinary to save documents and other user files in Documents and its subfolders. Most programs saves their configurations and data to hidden folders in user's folder. All of this is lost when user profile is not accessible, corrupt or deleted.

Reasons

There are generally three reasons for this issue:
1) Access to user profile is blocked during Windows start up.
2) Corrupt data on disk.
3) Temporary user profile.
